Link 2 Phase-1 is a significant submarine cable project designed to enhance connectivity across regions by providing high-capacity bandwidth and improving internet service quality.
The cable is set to be ready for service in the first quarter of 2024. It will connect various key locations through its designated cable landing stations, which include multiple strategic points that facilitate seamless data transmission and enhance network resilience in the region.
The total capacity of the Link 2 Phase-1 submarine cable is designed to reach up to 100 Terabits per second (Tbps). This substantial capacity is intended to accommodate the growing demand for internet bandwidth, support high-speed data transmission, and provide the necessary infrastructure for future technological advancements.
The expected lifespan of the cable is approximately 25 years. This durability underpins the investment in the project, ensuring that it meets the long-term needs of users and service providers alike.
