CADMOS

The CADMOS submarine cable is a 1,050 km long fiber optic cable system that connects Cyprus, Israel, and Greece. It is owned and operated by the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta), Israel's Bezeq International, and Greece's OTE International Solutions. The cable system was completed in 2018 and provides high-speed internet connectivity and improved communication services between the three countries. The CADMOS cable has a design capacity of 40 terabits per second (Tbps), making it one of the largest submarine cable systems in the Mediterranean region. The cable also has a branching unit that connects Lebanon to the system. This cable has been a significant step in the development of telecommunication infrastructure in the region and has played an important role in promoting economic and social development in the area.
